Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings
These two ingredient wings could not be more simple. They were born out of necessity one day when I had already cooked wings for dinner but realized I had no more BBQ sauce for them. I grabbed some hot sauce and cut it with some maple syrup…and I’ve been making them this way ever since. Such a happy accident! I prefer to cook them on the grill, but you can also roast them in the oven. Chicken wings are such a simple weeknight dinner that’s also fun to eat if you have littles around. I usually prepare a salad or a simple side and its dinner in a snap.
Ingredients:
3-4lbs chicken wings
1/3 cup Frank’s Redhot Sauce
1/3 cup maple syrup
salt
Directions:
Get your grill hot and ready, set to medium high. Put the wings directly onto the grill and cook approximately 10 mins per side, flipping and turning as needed, for 20 mins total. Keep watch while they cook especially since grills tend to have hot spots. I rotate them as needed. Prep the sauce while you cook them, combining the hot sauce and syrup in a large bowl. Once cooked, remove from grill and throw them right into your bowl with the sauce and toss to coat. Sprinkle with a generous amount of salt and toss again. Serve and enjoy!
